Formula

Volume = net area × average thickness

For a planar sloped layer, average thickness is the mean of entered minimum and maximum values.

Calculation steps

  • Convert entered depth to average thickness.
  • Calculate net and waste-adjusted volumes.
  • Derive package yield from coverage at reference thickness.
  • Round packages and primer containers upward.

Worked example

A 20 m² floor at 6 mm has a net material volume of 0.12 m³, or 120 L, before waste.

Assumptions

  • Sloped mode represents one planar, evenly changing thickness.
  • Product yield comes from the current technical data sheet.
  • Surface profile and porosity can reduce actual coverage.
  • Whole packages and primer containers are rounded up.
  • Substrate suitability, maximum lift and curing are outside scope.
